- I will not break confidences of those who have confided with me. I will be careful with information that is shared with me to avoid offense to those who communicate with me and those with whom I communicate.
- If an accident occurs where personal injury or property damage is involved, I will make sure that an Incident Form is filled out immediately and given to someone in charge.
- I will not strike anyone on the premises or going to and fro from the premises, even as a form of discipline. I will not touch someone of the opposite gender inappropriately.
- I will not teach anyone at SBC anything that may be contrary to the Word of God or Statement or Faith or what is taught by the leadership. If I am not sure, I will check with someone in charge.

Music Ministry Guidelines:
(to be agreed upon by those who sing Special Music and in the Choir annually)
- Be Prepared-All specials must be well-rehearsed beforehand. The night beforehand is not the time to think about what to sing. Music, both sheet music and audio accompaniments, must be shown to the music director at least three (3) weeks in advance. All specials must be performed for the music director at least one (1) week in advance. Music that has not been approved may not be used in a service.
- Be Punctual-If you show up right before the service starts, you are late! Please try to be present at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the service. Please be in your seat with your music when choir practice begins.
- Be Presentable-As someone who is in front of the church, you are looked at as a leader; please dress like it. Dress should be according to the Straightway Baptist Church Ministry Standards. Please, no facial piercings; no earrings on men.
- Be Polite-When in choir practice or any other rehearsal, please understand that any side conversations can be distracting to the leader or others.
- Be Present-You are making a commitment to being present at rehearsals. This is a service to the Lord, and He deserves our faithfulness. Others are depending on you to be there. Please let the choir director know in advance if you are not going to be present; also, please contact him if an emergency comes up.
- Be Prayerful-Serving in the music ministry is serving God, and we should never serve God in the flesh. The most effective choir is the Spirit-filled choir.
