Heaven is Where It’s At

Heaven is a real place where God’s presence and glory is fully manifested. No man could describe heaven to you. Paul spent some time there and said that eye hath not seen nor ear heard what God hath prepared for believers in Christ. In other words we have never experienced nor can even imagine experiencing a place like heaven. Paul couldn’t even begin to describe it. How do you describe ecstasy that you could never imagine existed. To understand the Glory of Heaven better, click here for more detail: http://members.aol.com/wnichint/heaven.html

At the right hand of God are pleasures forevermore. We can get a better handle on heaven by knowing what is not there. The Bible says that there will be no sorrow, no pain, no death, no hatred, no sin, no war, no jealousy, no fear, no doubts, no ignorance, no poverty, no disease, no inequity, no prejudice, nothing that would defile the presence, glory and holiness of God. The love of God for His creation will be clearly seen by believers and we will be so consumed by that love that we will spend all eternity expressing our heartfelt praise and worship for the Lamb that was slain to purchase our redemption and pay the price that we might enjoy these pleasures of God forevermore.

If you are so blessed as to go to heaven (click here if you want to know how to get there) then the things of this life will all be forgotten (Isaiah 65:17 (link)). In other words, you will not remember what car you drove, how many degrees you earned, how big a house you lived in, how many friends you had. Now these are certainly not bad things in themselves, but if they are preventing you from preparing for the judgment day when your eternity will be decided, then you need to rethink your priorities in light of Bible truth. Your soul will spend forever somewhere. Why not make it heaven?

How many times have I spoken to folks about heaven and they glibly reply “I’m just concerned about the here and now?” How foolish to totally blank out forever and ever so we can optimize the relatively short time that we have in this world. The Word of God clearly states that our life is but a vapor that vanisheth away and we are like the flower of the grass which will soon wither away. The most important aspect of your life is your soul, because your body will decay and your spirit will return to God, but your soul will exist and experience life eternally.
