Getting Acquainted   Iris and Joe Monroi City and State you and your spouse were reared: Iris was born and raised in Manhattan, NY and Joe was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. How long have you been members of Straightway Baptist Church? since March of 2011 Who invited you to join our church, or what interested you in joining our church? We knew Pastor Guarneri and his family from our old church.       Comments about Pastor Guarneri: Pastor Guarneri is a good pastor and a great man of God. He has been a special mentor in Iris' spiritual and prayer life. He knows the Lord and teaches the Word of God in the fullest. Interesting story, incident, or answer to prayer:  Two years prior to joining the church, Iris asked JoJo and Pastor to pray for Joe because he was diagnosed with cancer. Many people and other churches were praying for him as well. Due to the prayers, Joe was healed. Praise God! Give us your salvation testimony:  Iris was saved when she was living in Spain in 1988. It was not until 10 years later that she truely understood the Word of God and still many years later that she really learned what it means to be a Christian. Give us your spouse’s testimony: Joe got saved in February 1993. He was saved in a Charasmatic church in Brooklyn, NY. He was not happy there and was not fed the Word enough so he joined a Baptist Church. THere he learned about the King James Bible and that changed his life.
