Is the Bible the Word of God?
If so, Which Bible?
Does Jesus want you to have the Word of God?
Yes he does!
He said in Matthew 4:4, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.
Are God's words available to us today?
Yes they are available because God has preserved them!
Psalm 12:6, 7 the words of the LORD are pure words, as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them O LORD; thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever.
In what languages can I find them?
The languages f the holy men were Hebrew and Greek.
II Peter 1:19...holy men of old spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
They are available today as God promised:
Matt. 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away.
The Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Texts Receptus are the inspired Words of God.
Have these preserved, precious and pure words been translated into English?
Yes.
The King James Version (or Authorized Version) of the English Bible is a true, faithful, and accurate translation of these two providentially preserved texts, which is not our time has no equal among all of the other English translations. In fact, the translators did such a find job in their translation task that we can without apology hold up the Authorized Version of 1611 and say "These are the WORDS OF GOD!" in the English language.
Has God blessed the exclusive use of the King James Bible in America?
He surely has!
Consider this: For centuries the KJB was the only book called the Holy Bible in our land and our pulpits were aflame with power as America experienced revival. There has been no national revival since 1857 when one book was considered infallible in author it and inerrant in doctrine.
Has the KJV ever been proven to be inaccurate?
No! Since Satan couldn't take our Bible and spiritual sword from us, what could he do? He could try to undermine it.
Here's how: In 1871, a pair of high Church of England clergymen influenced by and sympathetic to the Darwinian theory of evolution, completed a critical text of the Greek New Testament which contained over 8,000 changes from the Texts Receptus (Latin for "Received Text"; these texts were received by the Early Church as the Words of God). The Adversary used these skeptics with prominent ecclesiastical positions to convince the revisionists that they had a more accurate Greek underlying text. What they used, however, was a collection of unreliable, corrupted and Gnosticized Sinaiticus and Vatican us manuscripts. Bishop Brooke Foss Westcott (1825-1901) and Reverend Fenton John Anthony Hort (1828-1892) were the two English scholars who produced the corrupt Greek text of the modern versions. Their dominating influence on the revision committee of 1871-1881 accounts for most of the corruption that we have today in modern English translations.
The Bible believer should keep in mind several well-documented points taken from letters penned by those men:
How does this affect the Kingdome of God today?
I John 5:7 for there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, and the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
This powerful verse which clearly defines the Trinity and the deity of Christ (the Word) is truncated, deleted, or marginalized in the modern texts.
Luke 23:42 and he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comets into thy kingdom.
In this particular case, the dying thief is being saved. Romans 10:13 tells us that we are saved by calling upon the name of the "Lord," and this man addresses Jesus as "Lord". The modern texts omit "Lord".
Luke 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him.
The King James Bible credits Mary with being the mother of Jesus, but does NOT refer to Joseph as his father. The modern texts call Joseph his father.
I Timoty 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
This verse tells us that Jesus Christ walked on this earth as "God" in the flesh. The modern texts omit the word “God” and replace it with a personal pronoun.
Colossians 1:14 in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins...
It is through the blood of Jesus Christ that we have remission of sins. Many of the new texts attack the blood atonement of Christ in this verse by omitting the word "blood". Does yours? Accepting the blood atonement is a must for anyone to be saved (Matthew 26:28; Revelation 1:5; Leviticus 17:11; Hebrews 9:22), yet the new versions are taking it out of the Bible.
Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
This is one of the great Old Testament verses which magnify the Lord Jesus Christ. As you can see, the verse says that the son of God, which is Jesus Christ, actually appeared in the fiery furnace nearly 600 years before He was actually physically born. This shows us that Jesus Christ is eternal. This shows his deity, his membership to the Holy Trinity as "the Son of God." Thus, the King James Bible exalts Jesus Christ. See what the modern texts call this fourth man. They often call Jesus "a son of the gods" which all-but dismantle the Messianic quality of Daniel's prophecy.
Micah 5:2 But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting.
The King James Bible gives us the superior reading by telling us that Christ is from "everlasting." That is, he is eternal, as we've already seen. Do the new versions contain this reading? No, most of the do not. The term "everlasting" does imply deity. The new texts try to de-deify CHRIST.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also the Greek.
Christ is omitted in most modern texts.
Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
This version is often omitted completely, thereby denying that the mission of CHRIST is to save the lost
Ephesians 3:9 and to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by JESUS CHRIST.
Most modern Bible versions omit the last three words, denying Jesus as the Creator.
