The Host Church
The LORD started Straightway
Baptist Church on May 7, 2006. Brother Guarneri was ordained and sent out under
the ministry of Pastor Bryan Miller and Somerset Bible Baptist Church.
Straightway meets right here in the Clarion Hotel. They are averaging 60 on
Sunday mornings, several salvation decisions per week, 10-15 out soulwinning
every week and have baptized 20 in a hotel pool. Currently 15 are picked up
every week in vans and cars and five Sunday School classes are in full swing.

Pastor D. A. Waite, Th.D., Ph.D.
We are blessed with quite a
servant of God as our speaker for this conference. Dr. Waite has relentlessly
and steadfastly stood in the gap in our generation for the Precious Words of
God. He has led the way tirelessly in defending the doctrines of Bible
inspiration and preservation against the wiles of the Enemy.
He earned a Bachelors Degree
in classical Greek and Latin from the University of Michigan in 1948, a Masters
in Theology with high honors in NT Greek Literature and Exegesis from Dallas
Theological Seminary in 1952 (Valedictorain), a Masters Degree in Speech from
SMU in 1953 and a Doctorate in Theology with honors in Bible Exposition from
Dallas Theological in 1955.
He also earned a PhD in speech from Purdue in 1961.
Dr. Waite has taught Greek,
Hebrew, Bible, Speech and English since 1950 in 9 different schools including 2
colleges, 2 universities, three Bible Institutes and one seminary. He served
his country as a Navy Chaplain for five years on active duty. He has pastored
three churches. Since 1971, he has been the Founder, President and Director of
the Bible for Today and since 1978, the President of the Dean Burgon Society He
has produced over 700 studies and books. He can be heard on the radio every day
and has a 24x7 verse by verse Bible Study running continuously on the internet
at wwww.BibleforToday.org where thousands of people every month all over the world
hear and download his messages.
He and Mrs. Waite have a
beautiful home in Collingswood NJ, and right in the middle of it is a huge room
with 40 chairs set up for the Bible for Today Baptist Church, which he has
pastored for 9 years.
Dr. and Mrs. Waite have been
married since 1948. They have 5 children, 8 children and 3 great grand
children.
