Comments about Pastor Guarneri: The pastor makes it very clear that what he's preaching is coming straight from the bible and doesn't try to offer the principles up as his own.  Very passionate about winning souls.  Very down to earth and personable.  Compassionate to the needs of others.  Selfless.

Interesting story, incident, or answer to prayer: Whenever Lynnnette and I had moved to NJ with Brock in September of 2006, I had been thinking more and more about the fact that myself and my family needed to find a church in the area. I felt like I needed to be raising my family based on good principles, and you can't find any principles better than the ones written in the BIble. WE had only been up here af ew months when one evening two gentlement came knocking at our door. Lynnette was mkaing dinner and I'm sure i was supposed to be watching Brock. Pete did all of the talking and suprisingly enough, the Pastor was silent the entire time. From that day forward Lynnette and I, with our growing family, have been attending Straightway Baptist. It was no accident that they came knocking on our door that evening and my family's walk with the Lord has gotten stronger and stronger

Give us your salvation testimony. I was raised Southern Baptist. Our small church's youth attended a local youth camp every year. I had been a few times before but it wasn't until I was around the age of 11 or 12 that I felt convicted and felt the need to get baptized. One evening during a service at the camp, I came forward during the invitation. I found out after the service that our group counselors, who happened to be a husband and wife, tomd me that they felt the need to pray for me and my salvation since we first met.

Give us your spouse’s testimony. In the spring of 2001, Lynnette was invited by her friend Quinn to atttend a youth ministry and presentation about what it means to be saved at Old Bridge Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. After listening to the presentation and watching the production that they put on, Lynnette felt convicted and went up during the invitation and accepted the Lord as her Saviour.

Of what ministries are you a part of?
I am an usher with the church and Lynnette works in the nursery.
